  Matsuya will limit the personal information that it obtains from customers to the information it needs to provide services to the customer and refrain from obtaining more information than necessary. In addition, when obtaining personal information from a customer directly, it will clarify the purpose of use and obtain the consent of the customer.

  Matsuya will strive to keep the personal information received from customers accurate and up to date.

  Matsuya will take appropriate safety management measures to address personal information-related risks such as the unauthorized access, loss, destruction, falsification and leakage of personal information. It will also strive to appropriately manage and protect personal information about customers by establishing personal information protection policies and organizations.

  Matsuya will strive to educate and train its employees to increase their awareness of personal information protection while also supervising them appropriately.

• (Supervision of Contractors)

  When entrusting the handling of customers’ personal information to another party, Matsuya will conclude the necessary agreements with appropriate contractors and supervise them appropriately to ensure that personal information is managed safely.

• (Restrictions on Disclosure to Third Parties)

  Matsuya will not provide personal information about a customer to any third party except when it has received the prior consent of the customer or the provision of the information is required by laws or regulations.

• (Disclosure, Correction, etc. of Personal Information)

  When Matsuya has received a request regarding the disclosure, correction or suspension of use of personal information or other requests from a customer, it will respond to the request to the extent reasonable after confirming the identity of the customer.

• (Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations)

  Matsuya will comply with relevant laws, regulations and norms including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

• (Other)

  To appropriately manage and control personal information, Matsuya will continuously review the content of this policy and strive to improve it.

• Purposes of use of personal information possessed by Matsuya

  Matsuya will use personal information about customers to facilitate sales activities such as the provision of product information, lifestyle information and preferential treatment services, and the processing of sales and service operations such as the taking of orders, holding of items for customers, processing of sales, the repair and processing of items, the delivery of items at later dates, the sending (shipping) of items and the provision of after-sales services.

• Joint use

  (1) The personal information items that are jointly used by Matsuya and its group companies are as follows.

• Procedures for the disclosure, correction and suspension of use of personal information

  Customers who wish to request the disclosure, correction or suspension of use of their personal information are kindly requested to do so by submitting the application form designated by Matsuya.
  A fee of 500 yen (including tax) will be charged for each disclosure request. Please note that when the disclosure of personal information involves notification by post or similar means, Matsuya may request that the customer pay the actual cost of postage, etc. separately.
